Prisoners of war

Yarbrough, Steve 1956- (Author). Bradbury, Pete. (Narrator).

Summary: In 1943, as German prisoners work the plantations of Mississippi Delta country, Dan Timms roves the area in a "rolling stone" selling goods for his uncle. Dan's partner is L.C., a young black man. While L.C. struggles against the inequities surrounding him, Dan romanticizes World War II and dreams of his eventual participation. But when his battleweary friend returns from the action, Dan gains a new, shattering perspective.
